Child of the Maple Wood

I am a child of the Maple Wood
of long Summers and deep Winters.

I am guarded by the Sentry Oaks
who look down from their high Savannas.

I am nestled amongst the bubbling Springs
and bathe in thousands of jeweled Lakes.

I dance on the Limestone cliffs
and draw deep from their earthy power.

I know the depths of the Wetlands
their rich songs sing me to sleep.

I breath the clear air, same as
the Hawk, the Eagle, the Crane, the Loon.

I am a child of the Maple Wood
forever here I shall Steward.
