The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver – Political Reveiw

Another Bitches with Books video! This week I continue the discussion on The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.

I think the most critical thing to take away from this brilliant novel is that we do have real power to make large changes on the global political stage. The way we vote, the way we discuss current events, and the way we hold our leaders accountable can have far reaching effects. If you love looking at tough questions and enjoy novels with strong female voices, this should be your next read! Plus, Anatole, one of the main characters who is native to the Congo, is super dreamy in that Political-Activist-Super-Smart-I’m-Going-To-Change-The-World way. Why can’t I find an Anatole on OkCupid?
