New Job and Other Updates

All the things! I feel like I have been only engaged on the surface the last couple months. In that time a ton has happened! Allow me to catch you up.

First, I got a new job! I left the law library to work for a wonderful Land Trust in Dane County as their new Development & Outreach Manager. I now work in an office right next to my husband; we commute together into the city mid-morning. My days are filled with planning trips to the wonderful forests, prairies, and wetlands we protect and finding new ways to connect with the incredible financial supporters who make our work possible. I’ve been doing this since the end of May.

While I enjoyed working at the library, my new position allows me to use more of my skills. There is so much more room to grow and learn in this field and organization. I’m really loving what I’m doing. It’s a great team and they are doing great stuff!

During this transition I also realized that I was ready to move onto the Druid grade of OBOD (the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids). I’m even thinking of starting a local grove. I think there is more that I have to give to the Druidry community. It’s just a matter of balancing the time and finding the right places to serve. I’m excited for this next chapter of my spiritual journey!

The farm continues to be a project, but a good project. Each week we move the sheep and poultry around to a new part of the pasture. This is time consuming but good for our soil and our animals. Someday maybe we’ll have more permanent fences and not have so much work to put animals into fresh paddocks. For now, we are learning our land through each move. There are hills and valleys to uncover, unique plant communities to unearth, and so much yet to be discovered.

Thanks for sticking with me as I continue to share my life and Druidry with you all!
